E3Education is an Independent Alternative Provision provider that focuses on the use of the Outdoor Classroom and Adventure to act as a vehicle for children’s personal, social and emotional development (PSED)
Our focus is working with with children and young people (CYP) who find the school and classroom environment a challenge ( typically identified as struggling with EBSA ).
- At KS2 this will include a role within a schools Early Intervention and Prevention plan for a CYP as well as working with those Complex Learners that struggle to attend an educational setting full time.
- At KS3 we also offer programmes that support the re-engagement with a learning curriculum that enables pupils to progress and develop towards a recognized and celebrated achievement from an awarding body and developes future Vocational Opportunities.
Expected Outcomes for Pupils
- Increased Resilience and self-esteem
- Behaviour regulation
- Improved communication
- Positive relationships with adults
- Link to academic engagement & Identifying future goals (KS3)
.
How we work
We work with Schools and parents to understand the needs of the CYP and then together with them design a bespoke programme that shows the CYP has been heard and that there is a programme of activity they can embark on successfully.
Any plan includes the opportunity for regular reviews with the opportunity to identify and celebrate progress made and to inform the next steps in the programme, this could include:
- Consolidating and maintaining the current support plan,
- Setting new outcomes and or actions for the young person, school and parents.
- Identifying that further consultation with other agencies needs to occur which may, if necessary, lead to a referral to other services.
Why it works
- Our outdoor location is a rich and varied place providing safe spaces and an environment that brings learning to life.
- Working on a 1:1 ratio allows the CYP tp develop nurturing and supportive relationships with and andult that can model and scaffold appropriate behaviours.
- We offer a range of activities – most of them practical and/or physical providing opportunities for our students to develop interests, open up to new adventures and foster hope for their future.
