Environmental Programme
Our Environmental Programme gives pupils a chance to experience various evironmental activities and projects, and to act as a vehicle to develop personal, social and work-related skills:
- Students will learn about themselves and their connection with the environment.
- Students will learn and demonstrate the skills required to make a positive impact on the environment.
- Students will reflect and gain an understanding of their own ability to make a meaninful change within the world.
Who is it for?
Aimed at KS3 and KS4 pupils who would benefit from the focus on completing challenges and skills development targeted at their ability level. Learners are expected to be working at Entry Level 3 to Level 1.
Course content
The programme is based around 6 key modules:
- My environment – review and awareness raising
- The atmospheric environment
- The built environment
- The natural environment
- The wider environment
- My environment – managing and monitoring
Commitment
Typically this course is delivered 1 day a week for 10 weeks
Certification
Students who complete the course and the work will achieve the ASDAN Adventure and Residential Short Course certificate
