Go Lead Award
Our Go Lead Award gives students a chance to experience exciting and rewarding activities as a vehicle to develop personal, social and work-related skills:
- Students will learn about themselves and develop an understanding their own ability to tackle challenges
- Students will learn and demonstrate the skills and techniques needed to motivate themselves
- Students will reflect on and gain an understanding of their own ability to develop and grow through adventure.
Who is it for?
The Go Lead Award uses practical activities to help older learners (16+) to develop their leadership skills. Using the resources and working with peers, learners build the knowledge, skills and competencies to lead activity sessions.
This accredited award can be delivered in any community, corporate or education setting and is a great follow-up to Phase 1 of any National Citizen Service programme.
Course content
Through this fun and flexible programme, learners will build their confidence and resilience, and develop their leadership skills.
Commitment
Typically this course is delivered in 7 hours either across multiple days/weeks or as a one-day course
Certification
Students who complete the course and the work will achieve the LEADERSHIP SKILLS FOUNDATION Go Lead Award
